Thanks for the feedback especially the Fronter comments – this works well if the LA has adopted Shibboleth as the default Fronter auth method.

The Title banner holds the site together and forms part of the cosmetic look of the Early Years log on part of the system released at the LGfL conference so I’m afraid it’s there to stay.

You can already create a ‘recommended’ tab and place links in there that are visible to the whole school – what is missing is an LA wide ‘recommended’ tab

Really nice idea. Great as a landing page and it also works well when added as a personal or room tool in Fronter and displayed within the frame.

Is it possible to have an option to hide the title banner as this takes up a lot of space particularly on some of the lower resolution screens in schools?

Is there the possibility of sharing experience and practice here by having a "Recommended" tab which is automatically populated by links that staff have star rated?

Interesting and potential very useful. Would be good if can access direct from the Support site when logged in - particularly for users that have USO tag. Helen

Hi Martin

The Default tab is preconfigured by us to contain links to all types of relevant locations. This makes it easy for you and other users to select just the ones you require and put them into a tab for others.

You can, however, choose to not show the Default tab to pupils (using the tick box at the top) so their default tab will be the one you configure for them.

Can we change the default tab?
I would like to make our customised tab the default one instead of the LGFL one.

Hello Tony and Vandana

The issue with cutting and pasting links had been affecting Firefox browswers and is now resolved.

When adding a URL, the site is contacted so an image can be generated for your links. If the site is slow or does not respond, the site won't be found by our system and an error may occur. This can often be resolved by trying again later when any technical issues with the target site have been dealt with by that provider.

If anyone wishes to add links to internal URLs, please enter the IP address of the required location instead of a normal URL in order for the site to be contactable.

Just started to look at this and it would be an advantage to be able to cut and paste in urls. I cannot seem to do that at the moment.

Looks a good feature. well done to all concerned.

Experience has shown that the key fields in the submission (names, date of birth and UPN) can change.

Using the MIS unique Key field enables this to be overcome, and the process here (and the file example) cannot have this, and this could lead to have changing usernames when changes happen.

However, once a file has been processed, there WILL be a unique field value - it would be called the USO username, and if a file was sent back or downloaded for adjustment, this might be avoided.
